How to Draw TYRANNOSAURUS REX (Jurassic World) Drawing Tutorial

posted in: Tutorials 2

Whoops, there I go again, calling female dinosaurs using male pronouns. Today, I show you how to draw the TYRANNOSAURUS REX from JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM!

From the research I did, I believe in the original movie she is named ROBERTA, although she was never really officially called that name at any point in the film. In the game, she is named REXY (or REXIE), but even that name was not made entirely official.

Regardless, the T.Rex is one of the most memorable characters in the first film, and I’m very excited to draw her. Just so you guys know, I probably won’t be doing any drawing tutorials on the humans from the movie because quite frankly, the dinosaurs are a lot more interesting and more popular.

I’ve made a playlist for the Jurassic series! You can check that out now here.

Happy drawing,
Ramny

CHARACTER BIO:

The T. rex was born in 1988 inside the InGen Compound of Isla Sorna where she spent the first year of her life inside the lab being taken care of by its workers before being transported to Isla Nublar to live in the Tyrannosaur Paddock as an attraction for InGen’s Jurassic Park.

This T. rex is the largest carnivore living on Isla Nublar and, as such, grew into a fearless, bold, and domineering beast who walks the line between heroine and villainess, largely motivated by two goals: keep intruders off her territory, and eat any prey she finds there.

I’m a schoolteacher who has always loved to draw. One day, one of my students said, “Can you teach me how to draw Baymax from Big Hero Six?” Thus, the channel was born! I’m a big nerd who loves comic books, action figures, and movies. I live in the USA, but I’m actually Filipino-Canadian.

    Hi Ramny
My grandson and I enjoyed your drawing tutorials as we spent many an hour on facebook drawing your characters during COVID 19 lockdown as households were isolated. Nanny judged the best drawing and I am yet to win but keep on trying. This became almost a daily ritual and greatly added to the bond between me and my grandson

Many thanks for giving us this opportunity of bonding via the internet and the time spent on our drawing competitions will never be forgotten
    Regards
    Andrew
