How to Draw EBONY MAW (Avengers: Infinity War) Drawing Tutorial

posted in: Tutorials 1

I will probably be devoting the next couple of weeks to drawing characters from AVENGERS, in anticipation for ENDGAME coming out next month!

One of the more popular villain tutorial requests I get are the children of Thanos, a.k.a. the Black Order. I didn’t think people liked them enough for me to do tutorials on them, but you guys seemed to really like them, despite that they were pretty easily handled in the last Avengers movie.

Anyway, here’s is the first of four Black Order members — EBONY MAW!

Make sure to check out my other MCU character tutorials!

Here’s the reference photo.

Happy drawing,

CHARACTER BIO:

Ebony Maw was a member of the Black Order. Gifted with powers of telekinesis, Maw was deeply loyal to Thanos and gave warnings of his power across the galaxy while assisting in the search for the Infinity Stones. Having assisted with wiping out half the Asgardians, both Maw and Cull Obsidian were instructed to locate the Time Stone, leading to Maw capturing Doctor Strange and torturing him in order to obtain the Stone. However, Maw was killed when Iron Man ejected Maw from his ship into outer space before rescuing Strange.

I’m a schoolteacher who has always loved to draw. One day, one of my students said, “Can you teach me how to draw Baymax from Big Hero Six?” Thus, the channel was born! I’m a big nerd who loves comic books, action figures, and movies. I live in the USA, but I’m actually Filipino-Canadian.
