The Sorcerer Supreme!

By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth! The Sorcerer Supreme has finally arrived, ready to usher in a new era of the MCU — DOCTOR STRANGE!

I never would have thought that a movie would be made on someone who was once a pretty obscure, B-list character. Dr. Strange was well-known among Marvel readers, but not nearly as popular as, say, the X-Men or the Fantastic Four.

It’s nice to see him finally getting some love. As protector of the mystic realms and a member of the Illuminati, he is a very influential, very powerful character in the Marvel universe.

I hope you enjoy this tutorial! Let me know down below what you think of the movie once you’ve seen it. NO SPOILERS though, or you’ll be blocked! (Please respect that not everyone has seen the film yet.)

Speaking of, if you’re still not familiar with Dr. Strange there’s a great Marvel Animated movie you should also check out. Here’s a trailer:

CHANNEL NEWS: As you might notice, the end screen is a lot different than what it used to be. I’ve had to make a lot of changes to accommodate YouTube’s new end screen features. This is to make it possible for people to click on annotations while watching on mobile. (It wasn’t possible to do so before.) It’ll take a few weeks to get comfortable with it, but I hope you like the result.

Happy drawing,
Ramny

CHARACTER BIO:

Dr. Stephen Strange was once a gifted but egotistical surgeon who sought out the Ancient One to heal his hands after they were wounded in a car accident. Instead, the Ancient One trained him to become Master of the Mystic Arts and the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.

I’m a schoolteacher who has always loved to draw. One day, one of my students said, “Can you teach me how to draw Baymax from Big Hero Six?” Thus, the channel was born! I’m a big nerd who loves comic books, action figures, and movies. I live in the USA, but I’m actually Filipino-Canadian.
