How to Draw the WASP (Ant-Man and the Wasp) Drawing Tutorial

posted in: Tutorials 0

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is out in theatres this week, and from the sounds of it, it’s just as funny as the first film! I’m excited to watch it, to see if it answers some of our Infinity War questions, and also to see another female superhero–THE WASP–in action!

I don’t split videos into two parts very often, but I’m starting to consider doing so more because of the ever-increasing length of my videos as well as the highly detailed nature of these MCU costumes. Sound off in the comments section on what you think the best approach is for me regarding these super-detailed, super-long tutorials!

Here’s the reference photo I used for this tutorial.

Happy drawing,

CHARACTER BIO:

Hope van Dyne is the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, and a board member of the company founded by her father, Pym Technologies.

Hank Pym revealed to Hope that before Janet’s disappearance into the quantum realm, he and Janet van Dyne were working on a prototype for a new upgraded version of the Wasp Suit, which had been hidden behind a secret vault in his basement for decades. Although he had always believed it had been for her mother, Pym told Hope that he now knew they had in fact been designing it for her. Van Dyne accepted the suit without hesitation, noting that it was about time that she was given a suit.

I’m a schoolteacher who has always loved to draw. One day, one of my students said, “Can you teach me how to draw Baymax from Big Hero Six?” Thus, the channel was born! I’m a big nerd who loves comic books, action figures, and movies. I live in the USA, but I’m actually Filipino-Canadian.
