Two easy ways to set up an overhead camera for your art videos

First off, sorry for the horrible shaky cam! I underestimated how hard it would be to have one hand hold a camera while the other fidget with what I’m trying to show you.

The other way to create an overhead set up is to stack books and use two chopsticks to prop your phone. I’m assuming you already have a lot of books around (and if you don’t… you should be reading more books anyway!), so this is a “free” alternative.

I hope these help! If you have any questions about that phone holder, let me know in the comments!

Happy drawing,
Ramny

I’m a schoolteacher who has always loved to draw. One day, one of my students said, “Can you teach me how to draw Baymax from Big Hero Six?” Thus, the channel was born! I’m a big nerd who loves comic books, action figures, and movies. I live in the USA, but I’m actually Filipino-Canadian.
