Like I said in my April announcement video and in yesterday’s livestream, this month I am focusing on doing tutorials on A-list (really popular) superheroes I haven’t really done proper tutorials on. This can range from how they appear in comics, movies, shows, or video games. I’m going for their iconic and popular looks.
Of course there’s no other A-list Marvel character at the moment than IRON MAN, whose movie in 2008 kicked off the ultra successful Marvel Cinematic Universe! For this tutorial I am covering his appearance in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR — the Mark 46.
Let me know in the comments below — what is your favorite Iron Man armor to date? Mine is Mark 3 (the first red/gold Iron Man suit), and Mark 44 (the Hulkbuster suit).
The Mark 46 (Mark XLVI) is the forty-sixth Iron Man Armor created by Tony Stark. This armor was created sometime after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
This armor appears in Captain America: Civil War. as Stark’s current suit. It bears resemblance to the Bleeding Edge Armor in the comics.
The Mark 46 has a different and unique design to its predecessors. It has a trapezoid-shaped indent design stationed around the circular chest RT. Like the Mark 45, its armor colors have more red than gold. It has several small arc-reactor lights placed around the body, which allowed Stark to see 360 degree panorama view. The helmet design is similar to Mark 45 but it has different indentions to the forehead. The armor uses the F.R.I.D.A.Y. O.S. like the Mark 45.
