Chirrut Imwe (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story)

Happy New Year! It’s time for a brand new drawing tutorial! Today let’s draw CHIRRUT IMWE from the fantastic Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He’s one of the coolest characters to come out of that movie. Donnie Yen is one of my favourite martial artist/actor working today, and if you haven’t seen him in any of his other films, you need to check him out.

Tomorrow and Thursday, I do another Rogue One character, then we’ll move on to something else. Stay tuned!

Also, sound off in the comments: Who is your favourite character from Rogue One?

Happy drawing,
Ramny

CHARACTER BIO:

Chirrut Îmwe was a blind human male born on the moon Jedha in 52 BBY. One of the Guardians of the Whills, an order of spiritual warrior-monks, he was active during the days of the Galactic Empire and worked as an itinerant preacher in NiJedha. Alongside his friend and protector, Baze Malbus, Îmwe became part of a volunteer group of Rebels tasked with stealing the plans of the first Death Star.

I’m a schoolteacher who has always loved to draw. One day, one of my students said, “Can you teach me how to draw Baymax from Big Hero Six?” Thus, the channel was born! I’m a big nerd who loves comic books, action figures, and movies. I live in the USA, but I’m actually Filipino-Canadian.
